Terno No-Nos

What I meant by the title is that I really should stop wearing identical or matching colors in my getup. I've been wanting to experiment with my casual attires but when time is of the essence, I just pick up whatever is on top of my closet (which usually happens to be a brand new blouse from my Sexy Nomad Apparel) and automatically find a color-matching pair of shoes, or bag, or shirt. It's frustrating sometimes. I was again a victim of my laziness and my cousin (who likes wearing expensive brands like Ferragamo, Givenchy, Dior, Prada, etc.) did point this out.

My Resorts World Manila Getup

I've had a bad case of "I've got nothing to wear!" that evening Peter and I went to Resorts World Manila for the launch of Grand Fiesta Manila 2010 and Grand Fiesta Run 2010. I have numerous attires in mind but nothing fitted me well! Huhuhu. This calls for more exercise and less intake of carbs, which was why I didn't eat a lot even if there were a lot of delicious Chinese food being served at Passion Restaurant that evening. And like I always tell myself, when I feel fat, just wear black. I have this loose black butterfly blouse, which has been a part of my clothes collection before for the Sexy Nomad Apparel, which I've been saving for occasions like this. It's still a bit loose for my frame but at least, it made me feel not too fat. ^_^ I wore it with my old jeans, silver sandals & pearls and voila --- I may have looked simple but I think I also looked chic & fab. ^_^

My Zoobic Getup

I knew I'd be walking most of the time for this Zoocobia and Zoobic Night Safari trip so I made sure I was wearing something light and comfortable.

For my clothes, I wasn't planning on wearing the black hooded vest. But since my white top was too see-through, I decided last minute to wear it and it looked awesome and preppy. The fabric of my ruffled skirt, blouse and hooded vest is made of cotton and jersey so it's very soft, light and breezy.

Peter Pan Attire?

I was laughing out loud when a high school classmate ofm ine commented on facebook that my getup resembles that of Peter Pan's. Hahahahahahaha!!! OMG! She's so right! The color of my blouse, my tights, even the shoes sans the pointy toes... they all look so elfy. LOL! All I need now is Tinkerbell nearby and a little pointy green hat and indeed, I'd be the female version of this mischievous Disney character. Hahahhahahahahaha!!!!

Sorry, can't help laughing there. It doesn't look so bad though. It was comfy and the fabric of my top felt nice. I actually love it. It's one of those blouses I have on my Sexy Nomad Apparel Favcebook Page. Thank God for this fabulous blouse, I was able to eat all the dishes served at Focaccia that evening without worrying about my figure, and that's all that mattered then, Peter Pan getup or not. ^_^

My Off-the-Shoulder Garterized Blouses

I gain weight every time the rainy season comes in. This is because as the humidity rises, my appetite for sweets like ice cream, cake and chocolates grows bigger too. Plus, the weather is too cozy for sleeping in and doing some light reading that I rarely exercise too. It's a good thing then that I have these fabulous and comfortable blouses that can hide my not-so-attractive body parts while still looking stylish and trendy.

So see?
When looking and feeling fab, you don't need to show skin all the time. It's a matter of hiding the flaws, standing tall (even if you're not... like me) and being comfortable in your own getup. ^_^
