OMG OMG OMG! Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers has been here in Manila since Tuesday!!!

I woke up late coz I was dreaming of Joe Jonas and it felt oh soooo real!!!! Here's why:

I was quietly doing some work at around 2am. A Jonas Brothers song came up on my iTunes and my husband all of a sudden blurted out that Joe Jonas is in town! I said, "What??!" Why didn't you tell me sooner??!!" I know, I know... I should've known without the help of my husband. After all, I've been crushing on him since 2008 when he was just a cute little boy. I am an avid fan of the Disney series, JONAS which only lasted 2 seasons (darn it) and of course I watched the Camp Rock movie and listened to its soundtrack over and over and over again and almost shouted for joy when he broke up with Demi Lovato (LOL!). But anyway, I immediately googled the keywords "Joe Jonas Manila 2012" for info and voila --- my future-husband-in-a-parallel-universe is indeed here live in Manila and it's not yet too late!

Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger Returns to #1

Global superstar Kelly Clarkson’s current single, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” returns to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart for a third week.  The single was previously #1 on the Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks in February.  This is Kelly’s 3rd Billboard Hot 100 #1 after 2002’s “A Moment Like This” and 2009’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.”  

Kelly is currently on her 2012 Stronger World Tour and receiving rave reviews.  After her sold out Radio City show, The New York Times stated, “..the idea delivered by the show was that Ms. Clarkson was a star,” while Spin claimed, “Vocally, Clarkson was impeccable, nailing every big note and wistful whisper as she worked her way back and forth across the broad Radio City stage.”  The Hollywood Reporter said,“Clarkson's personable nature and powerhouse vocals prove that she is growing stronger with each album and tour.” 

PAOLO SANTOS – HOW SWEET IT IS this time around?!

PAOLO SANTOS, the King of Acoustic is back. This time, he is doing songs closest to his heart! Yes! Paolo Santos is doing his versions of James Taylor’s most popular songs. Songs like Wandering, Sweet Baby James, How Sweet It Is, Don’t Let me Be Lonely Tonight and a lot more. Only One is the album’s carrier single.

After that devastating news about Whitney Houston's death yesterday, I got some good news in the mail today. I received a package from Angelina Jolie's press people in California, U.S.A. It is the poster for her directorial movie debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey. On January 12 this year, this blog hosted a LIVE Q&A web conference with Angelina Jolie discussing her movie. As a token of thanks, this movie poster was promised to me and one of my commentators. I hope Florencio Jusay, the chosen commentator, also got his.

Whitney Houston's Death at 48

The passing away of Whitney Houston at the young age of 48 was such a terrible news. I am not a huge fan per se, as I was not as devastated as I was when Michael Jackson passed away in 2009 (and mourned his death to the point that I got depressed and totally forgot about my husband's birthday for 2 years), but I was shocked nonetheless with Whitney Houston's sudden death. It was her 80's hit songs "How Will I Know", "Saving All My Love For You", "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and "Didn't She Almost Have It All" that lulled me to sleep when my then boyfriend (now husband) broke up with me in 2001. Her movie, The Bodyguard is one of my ultimate favorites. And her voice... oooh her golden voice... is just simply incomparable. 

She was supposed to attend the Grammy's and then this happened.  It's just so sad seeing a uniquely talented lady of her caliber die so soon. My condolences to her family, friends and dear loved ones.  :(

 
To this day, every time I hear Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know", I feel "kilig", giddy, excited and "in love" all at the same time. Maybe it's the conditioning I had growing up. 80's was the time I started liking boys and this song kept playing over the radio. :)

I've always liked Demi Lovato. She's been off the spotlight for a year to seek treatment for her battle with bulimia and other personal issues. Now, she's focusing on her music career and I'm excited about her new album next month. You go girl!

I Hate Henry Cavill for Superman

I am an extreme kind of person. For me, it's usually black or white, hot or cold. No in between. So it would seem to a casual observer that I am usually apathetic about A LOT of THINGS in this world which further adds to my belief that I am a weird person because how come I view the world so differently from most people and how come I don't care about a lot of things that other people care about like gossip, crab mentality, fame, wealth at the expense of dignity, etc... etc...

Demi Lovato: Out of Rehab for Christmas

Demi Lovato got a pass to leave rehab (an Illinois facility where she gets her treatment for physical and emotional issues), so she could celebrate the Yuletide season with her family in Chicago, Illinois. What she did was go to an upscale movie theater called the Hollywood Blvd Cinema, Bar & Eatery, which has a “full-to-your-seat food and beverage service.” Nice!

Suri Cruise - Not a Baby Anymore

I swear, Suri Cruise is getting prettier and prettier. And she's so big now! I can already picture her in her teens... oh so pretty. She truly has her parents' (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes) genes.

Suri Cruise visited her mom Katie on the set of Jack and Jill yesterday, October 20, Wednesday, located in West Hollywood, California. She really looks so big now. When she was a baby, didn't she look more like Tom Cruise? And now that she's four years old, she kind of looks more like her mom Katie. Lucky kid!

How I wish in my next life, I get to be born like her --- a famous celeb's baby! Hehehe.

Anyway, Jack and Jill is a new comedy film which also starts Al Pacino and Adam Sandler.

As for Suri's dad, Tom, he's in Prague working on his new movie Mission Impossible IV.

Lindsay Lohan Spends Time with Homeless Kids

Lindsay Lohan was released from jail earlier this weekend and went off to the Dream Center on Sunday, Sept. 26, located in Los Angeles, to spend some time with the homeless children. The 24-year old actress found it very fulfilling that she tweeted:

“What a great place The Dream Center is here in LA… had a nice time there today, it’s so important to give back. I feel blessed.”

Lindsay Lohan visited the shelter for homeless kids with her mom, Dina, her sister, Ali, as well as her manager, Lou Taylor.

Lots of photos were taken and she even reportedly gave out some purses to the kids according to E!.

Lindsay will be back to do rehab today, Monday, Sept. 27. Hopefully, this will bring about real change in her. I really loved her in her past movies especially Parent Trap which helped brought her career to stardom. C'mon Lindsay, you can do this!

Hilary Duff, Starbucks and Workout

The 22 year old newly wed Hilary Duff looks so adorable in a beanie when she did her 1 1/2 hour workout then grabbed a cup of Starbucks last Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Studio City, California.

but isn't Starbucks full of sugar and calories? Oh well, at least she got to burn them.

And last week, her hubby, Mike Comrie, just signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins. So it looks like Hilary will be frequenting Pennsylvania this year!

Living on the Radio - Lady Gaga's New Song

I have some big Lady Gaga news for y'all!

During Lady Gaga's concerty in St. Paul, Minnesota last Monday night, she performed her brand new song, Living on the Radio.

It's such a beautiful and soulful song. Gaga ballads are truly fantastic!
