Online Lingerie for You

I've been chatting with a blogger friend recently about her buying online lingerie for the first time. She said she's been inspired by me and how confident I am about wearing lingerie and posting pictures of myself in it online. She wants to exude that sexy persona too. I was more than glad to encourage her. After all, each one of us is sexy in our our own right and we should be able to express that. 

If you are the shy type like my friend but you would really want to buy a sexy piece of lingerie, well, gone are the days that you'd have to check out a physical shop and buy your lingerie in person. At this day and age of hi-tech stuff, you can do that without having to go outside of the comforts of your home or office or wherever you are. You just browse through the many online sites that sell lingerie, take your pick, pay using your credit card or paypal and voila! Your purchased lingerie item will then be delivered right to your doorstep. It's as easy as A-B-C!

If your concern is your size and you're afraid you might not be able to fit, then you would have to know your size first. Once that is solved, then you can no go on buying sprees with online lingerie. Try it now! Your significant other will totally appreciate it. Trust me.   

Fashion for the Frat

It's that time of year again for college to start up and for students old and new to begin to wander the ivory halls. But going back to college after so long can be intimidating. Even so much as figuring out what you should wear can be an impossible feat, especially if you have an eye for fashion. Thankfully here are a few simple tips for those aiming for the 'awe' in 'shock and awe'.

'Tis The Season For Some Fall Fashion What's the number one thing that determines what clothes are in? The season of course. It's Fall, which means that you should dress nice and warm. Sweaters and over shirts are in, it's the perfect excuse to wear a kicking scarf and it's a good time to wear a slightly classier long dress since the short sun ones should be in the closet by now. If you live in the sunnier weather, try to aim for 'faux fall' rather than forcing yourself to swear in sweaters when the sun is pounding down. Sweater like shirts, thin over shirts and jean shorts for instance.

I'm not just an emotional person, I'm pretty visual too and I tend to remember my experiences not just on how I felt about them (like that PAL inaugural flight to Bali or how I'm falling in love with my new guy best friend) but based on the clothes I've worn as well. Me and My Twinky Boots

It was sometime last week that I accompanied my sister to Alabang Town Center to look for a pair of Crocs slippers that she's been eyeing for sometime now. She found one for her girlfriend and bought a pair.  On our way out of the big mall, we passed by a window display of fashionable boots. I had no plans of buying but I thought there's no harm in trying out some and see if they fit.

First and foremost, I have no illusions of being super young. But sometimes, it's nice to be able to pull off an attire and have younger people believe that I'm the same age as them. Hihihi! Okay, seriously, that wasn't my plan at all. I just wanted to stop wearing my usual A-line and tube dresses that day coz I don't like it when people ask me if I'm pregnant just because those dresses make me look like one (or I'm getting fat). 

Boho Chic Style of Vanessa Hudgens

Of all the celebrities that I watch and follow, it's Vanessa Hudgens' sense of style that I can relate to most. Just like me, I noticed that she's also into Boho chic look with a bit of modern flair.

The modern Bohemian look usually entails pieces such as tunics, craftans, ankle-length embroidered dresses, tiered peasant skirts, weathered jeans plus ethnic-inspired accessories, leather belts, bangles and over-sized sunglasses. These are pieces that Vanessa likes wearing often.

Fashion in the Medical World

The past few days that I have been "noisy" in my head, I thought about career opportunities in the past that I had let go of. Others I tried (like teaching for instance, when I became a preschool teacher after I graduated), while others I have simply said no to after much deliberation. One of the latter is being a doctor. Few people know this. I actually took the NMAT when I was in college together with my then boyfriend, Chris. I even scored higher than him in the test but after much thought, and after my grandfather said no to supporting me with such a long and expensive course, I just simply gave up too. Then a few years back, my father-in-law suggested that I take a nursing course since it was highly in demand at that time and he predicted it would be for several more years. Again, I said no. Not just because I am not fond of blood, but because I found medical uniforms quite boring.

My New err... Old Givenchy Bag

Okay here's the story. I've been telling you about my cousin recently, right? I told you how she knows about fashion and how she likes to buy Ferragamo, Dior, and other branded stuff, right? She worked abroad and lived this fabulous life where she bought anything that she fancied. She showed me some of her stuff and I, in turn, fancied her Givenchy bag. She said it's an original and it cost about Php15,000.

Tube Top Jump Shorts + Dupe Slippers

I bought a tube jump shorts from one of my Sexy Nomad Apparel collection last January and it's only last Saturday that I got to wear it when my husband and I went windsurfing at Surf Kamp in Lake Caliraya.

I Wore My Peep Toe Demi Boots

My pair of peep toe demi boots is one of those pairs I bought from People are People. I wore them that Day I went on a movie date with Peter. I wasn't sure how long my feet would last in those super high heels so I figured, why not just wear them on a simple movie date? That way, I won't be walking as much and Peter wouldn't have to carry me in case my feet start feeling like they're killing me. Teehee.

Smurfs Backpack from Clipper

I didn't realize that I wasn't able to blog about one of the few things I bought last New Year --- a Smurfs backpack from Clipper!

Peter and I found ourselves at Festival Mall to buy materials for my soap making adventure. After getting everything we needed, we were just supposed to go to Goldilocks to have a hearty lunch when we passed by Clipper and Peter wanted to see some backpacks. He actually bought one for himself, a much bigger version of my Smurfs backpack, but with superhero characters as the design.


Then I thought I would need one too especially since I plan to travel light this summer for my 6-week stay in Boracay. So, I browsed their entire backpack collection until I saw one that screamed "Buy me! Buy me!"


Smurfs and I go a long way back. They're one of my most favorite cartoon characters while growing up. I guess it was because I related a lot to Smurfette in a vain and self-absorbed kind of way to the point that even my college blockmates used to call me Smurfette because I always seemed to be living in my own little bubble (I still do, hehe). No wonder when I saw the smurfs on the bag, I immediately bought it.

So that's the story of my Smurfs backpack. Can't wait to introduce it to Boracay this summer. ^_^

KAOS Presscon Fashion

I recently attended a press conference for the launch of KAOS at Newport Performing Arts Theater located inside Resorts World Manila. I didn't really know what to wear at press cons. I don't think I ever attended one because of my hectic schedule at work but for KAOS, which features both international and homegrown talents, and which I love so much even if I've just seen its preview, I went all the way.

Rose Quartz Ring from Forever 21

On our second day at Ho Chi Minh, Jem, out of the blue, gave me this very elegant and fashionable Rose Quartz ring from Forever 21. She bought it in U.S. while shopping for some stuff (she lives in Utah now) and when she saw it, she thought of me. How sweet.

I've been using it every time I wear something pink. It's just so beautiful! Thank you again Jem! You're really something!

Marc Jacobs Sunglasses

I first wore my new pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses during my visit to Nuvali last week. I was with my fellow bloggers touring the whole place and doing all sorts of fun activities.

I like this new pair of shades that I have. Aside from the shape, the glasses itself are very comfortable to my eyes. the sun's glare is definitely lessened, and even if I was wearing them indoors, like let's say, while dining in a restaurant, it's not dark as it looks.

Peter Pan Attire?

I was laughing out loud when a high school classmate ofm ine commented on facebook that my getup resembles that of Peter Pan's. Hahahahahahaha!!! OMG! She's so right! The color of my blouse, my tights, even the shoes sans the pointy toes... they all look so elfy. LOL! All I need now is Tinkerbell nearby and a little pointy green hat and indeed, I'd be the female version of this mischievous Disney character. Hahahhahahahahaha!!!!

Sorry, can't help laughing there. It doesn't look so bad though. It was comfy and the fabric of my top felt nice. I actually love it. It's one of those blouses I have on my Sexy Nomad Apparel Favcebook Page. Thank God for this fabulous blouse, I was able to eat all the dishes served at Focaccia that evening without worrying about my figure, and that's all that mattered then, Peter Pan getup or not. ^_^

Butterscotch Wears Enterprise

On October 9, my friend Irene invited us to come visit the launch of her friend's new direct selling business. As usual, I was interested to find out what the business was all about so Peter and I decided to go.


As it turned out, Butterscotch is all about apparel and accessories (mostly women's) with a bit of men's wear and beauty products as well. The owner is Ma. Leonelle de Leon-Sandoval, or Dimples for short, who is not just a fashion entrepreneur but happens to be a martial artist as well.

So how did it all start?

Witnessing the World Trade Center FAB Fashion Show

On October 8, I invited my folks to come watch a fashion show with me, held at World Trade Center. It was a weekend of affordable fab finds from apparel, tech gadgets, to food and accessories. We got there at around 7:00 pm, toured the place a bit and saw various items being sold for cheap. As tempting as the beautiful items were, we didn't buy anything. I still got a ton of stuff at home that I haven't used and I was just interested in seeing what these young fashion entrepreneurs were up to.

So we just waited for the fashion show to start. It was an Active Lifestyle show conceptualized by Kassy Pajarillo, who is also an athletics enthusiast and a marathoner. During the show, Cocotini Beach Wear showcased her bikini's and summer wear, the Philippine Surfing Academy promoted their fun surf trips and the sport, Vibram Five Fingers, TRX Suspension Trainers, Cocotini Beachwear and Philippine Kettlebell Club featured their stuff.

There were some technical difficulties during the show but I was just glad that my mom had fun. We had dinner at Gerry's Grill afterward then visited the poultry section at World Trade Center before Peter picked us up and went home.

Baguio Fashion: Then and Now

One thing I love about traveling is the art of packing.You know why? Coz before I get to pack my clothes (according to the sequence of wearing them), I make sure that I do a little fashion show first inside the comforts of our own bedroom just so I'm sure that I'm comfy and that I look good with what I plan to wear, much more so if I'm going to a cold place like Baguio. This means that I'd be able to wear once again some of my fur coats, fur gloves, leather jackets and my favorite pair of suede boots. ^_^

Anyway, looking back, I really see a pattern with my sense of fashion whenever I'd go to Baguio. I was there on Thursday and Friday when I got the privilege to stay at Mines View Park Hotel. Thank God for this trip, I got to don once again my favorite pieces from my own collection of cold apparel, which I have accumulated the last decade.

It was in 1998 when I first went to Baguio with my college friends. I remember the place to be very romantic that I swore to never go back there again lest I come with the love of my life... coz it can really get lonely if you go there on your own. So, in 2002, after I got married and my mother-in-law suffered an untimely death, Peter and I decided to go there for a change of atmosphere after all those heart breaking moments.


Then in 2005, a year after we became members of Club Panoly, we used some of our points to enjoy its affiliate hotel in Baguio.


Year 2007 was when I celebrated my birthday there in time for the Panagbenga Festival and Brownman Revival's Gig.


Year 2010 was when I first came to Baguio with my fellow bloggers sponsored by Mines View Park Hotel.

It feels nice to be able to wear my old stuff like my suede jacket, suede boots, Mango boots and beret. I think they still look good on me after all these years, and more importantly, I still feel comfortable wearing them. I got these things at various ukay-ukay shops before.

I Need Vita Plus if I Wanna Be Sexy

I know Vita Plus is all about health and has nothing to do with a fashion blog. But see, I've been out of stock for about a month now due to my very busy schedule, and look how fat I have gotten! I don't look good in my clothes anymore. Look at these photos taken during the Downy Scents to Remember gala launch yesterday. I'm such a fatty. I don't hate myself nor do I feel really bad. I accept that I am overweight right now (thanks to my constant cravings for Selecta's Coffee Crumble ice cream) and I want to do something about it without having to give up some of my favorite food.
