When I first set up this blog, it was just for documenting the kinds of looks I could come up with by mixing and matching the clothes I already have. I'm not just an emotional person, I'm pretty visual too and I tend to remember my experiences not just on how I felt about them (like that PAL inaugural flight to Bali or how I'm falling in love with my new guy best friend) but based on the clothes I've worn as well. (^_^)
It's also nice to go back to my old fashion blog posts so I can better figure out how else to make my wardrobe more interesting without buying anything new. That's coz I consider myself frugal (though it's not very obvious to people who may think they know me) and I'm not that big on shopping. But when I do spend money on apparel and accessories, I shop til I drop. Perhaps because I tend to be extreme most of the time. Either I shop or don't shop at all. Like that one time in 2009 when I bought 11 pairs of Crocs in one go; or that time I bought a dozen pairs of shoes in 2011, six of which were from People are People as part of my collection. But that only happens like once or twice a year.
I try to change that now and buy in trickles if I see things I need or really, really like. In fact, this year, I haven't really done any major shopping at all except for the four beach hats I bought when we were doing the groceries last summer, then there's the Nike Air Max that was on 70% off last January in Paseo de Sta. Rosa, the pair of Twinky Boots that I found so cute and comfy last February, as well as this gorgeous pair of Charles and Keith strappy ankle wedge sandals, the green shawl and wobbly pair of slippers from Manila Ocean Park. Hmmm... okay so I still do like shopping but only if the price is right and within my budget. (^_^)
Beach hats! Four of the new stuff I added to my wardrobe this year so far.
It's because most of the extra money I save up usually go to my travels. But still, looking back on those mobile photos I took of the different looks I came up with, I can say I still clean up pretty good even if I'm not wearing anything new. (^_^)

Now, it's a challenge once again to come up with something that will look good on me without spending so much and by just mixing and matching my old clothes. (^_^)

Your vacation look is my fave style. You look fashion forward and comfy at the same time.Somehow, not everyone can pull that off. I know I can't. :p
