I Only Had One Pair of Shoes Last Valentine's Weekend

I really wasn't expecting to have a fabulous Valentine's day, more so a grand Valentine's weekend. We were supposed to just stay in Mandarin Oriental Hotel for one night. But then Peter and Pops wanted to stay another night. I didn't bring any extra clothing for the occasion but I figured, my gladiator boots can go with anything.

At Mandarin Oriental Hotel from Feb. 12-14

My Bubble Tea Attire

It's seldom that I get to plan what to wear on the go. Most of the time, it takes me a whole day to contemplate about what to wear to a certain event. But when I went to Bubble Tea, for some reason, I just happen to pick up the perfect clothes in my closet. Prior to going to Bubble Tea in Tomas Morato, I have been awake then for 24 hours, my work was up til my neck and I had no time to prepare. I just took a quick bath, dried myself and picked the first set of clothes that I saw. Voila --- my whole Bubble Tea getup wasn't so bad after all. Even if I'm going to their farthest branch from where I live (they also have a branch in SM Megamall, SM North Edsa and a new one will open next month in Wilson street, Greenhills), my getup was comfortable enough for commuting.

Fashion for New Year 2009

Every New Year, our family has always been accustomed to wearing red. Actually, the most perfect outfit supposedly is that of any red and polka dot combination. But since it's hard to find clothes with polka dot design these days, we are happy to wear just red. In Chinese culture, red symbolizes luck and fortune, thus, our practice of wearing such so we may attract more luck and fortune this new year. As for me, just to spice things up a bit, I wore a bit of black too. They look really nice together. A bit classic-looking, but nice. Black for me symbolizes the stable combination of all positive forces (at least in my own world). Isn't it that when you combine all colors, you produce black?

So anyway, this new year, I'd like to imbibe stability & fortune in all my endeavors, thus, the red and black affair for my first few outfits this new year. ^_^

I was wearing red crocheted shawl by 248, old black haltered top, pink cutoffs and red flat plastic shoes.
