It's been ten days since I got here in Boracay and I already managed to have five hats! For some reason, seeing beach hats makes me filled with joy. In fact, in almost every place I visit, I always end up buying hats. I'm thinking, even if I won't wear them, I can use them to decorate our home. Weee!
I originally brought these two hats above from Subic. Then I fell in love with three more hats here in Boracay. So now I have five! Weee!
The brown one with the peach flower was bought at Golden Phoenix shop for Php150.00. The other two was only Php100 each! I'm really so lucky! To think the two almost similar hats from Subic cost me Php500.00. I guess my new mantra is working pretty well: I am at the right place, at the right time.
The beige and black&white hats at Php100 each were originally selling for php150.00, sometimes even more in other shops. But because I chanced upon them at about 9 in the evening, the vendor sold them to me at a discounted price. Yay! I love bargain shopping! And I love collecting hats!
I can no longer count the number of hats I have at home. I have fedora hats, cowboy hats, berets, caps, etc. Hats make me happy, especially affordable beach hats! Yay! ^_^
And speaking of affordable, who knew that there are a lot of affordable stuff here in Boracay, including Boracay cheap rooms! Another yay! So if you're trying to look for cheap rooms to stay at here in Boracay, you can try the guesthouse where I am staying at: Bonueva Home. I know I've been blogging about it since I got here. I'm just so happy to find this place and I want to share it with you.
The rooms here are very cheap considering that they have complete amenities: wifi, cable TV, hot & cold shower, change in bed sheets and towels, use of kitchen facilities for an additional minimal fee, your own broom, free hot water for coffee, etc. Plus, if you pay in advance and the longer you stay, the more discounts you get! I should know, I am staying here for 33 days! Weee!

These hats are lovely! I'll buy one for myself din kapag nasa Boracay ako. I have this impression with hats before na they're expensive. It depends on the location lang siguro :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Mica! Yup, it depends on the location. I remember when we went to a 5-star resort in Cebu before (Alegre Beach Resort - http://sexynomad.i.ph/blogs/sexynomad/2007/01/20/travelogue-xiv-when-pa-went-to-townexploring-cebu/), I saw a red beach hat I like and it was selling for Php1000.00! I bought it pa rin coz I really wanted one. :-)
