Baguio Fashion: Then and Now

One thing I love about traveling is the art of packing. You know why? Coz before I get to pack my clothes (according to the sequence of wearing them), I make sure that I do a little fashion show first inside the comforts of our own bedroom just so I'm sure that I'm comfy and that I look good with what I plan to wear, much more so if I'm going to a cold place like Baguio. This means that I'd be able to wear once again some of my fur coats, fur gloves, leather jackets and my favorite pair of suede boots. ^_^

Anyway, looking back, I really see a pattern with my sense of fashion whenever I'd go to Baguio. I was there on Thursday and Friday when I got the privilege to stay at Mines View Park Hotel. Thank God for this trip, I got to don once again my favorite pieces from my own collection of cold apparel, which I have accumulated the last decade.

It was in 1998 when I first went to Baguio with my college friends. I remember the place to be very romantic that I swore to never go back there again lest I come with the love of my life... coz it can really get lonely if you go there on your own. So, in 2002, after I got married and my mother-in-law suffered an untimely death, Peter and I decided to go there for a change of atmosphere after all those heart breaking moments.

Then in
2005, a year after we became members of Club Panoly, we used some of our points to enjoy its affiliate hotel in Baguio.

Year 2007 was when I celebrated my birthday there in time for the Panagbenga Festival and Brownman Revival's Gig.

Year 2010 was when I first came to Baguio with my fellow bloggers sponsored by Mines View Park Hotel.

It feels nice to be able to wear my old stuff like my suede jacket, suede boots, Mango boots and beret. I think they still look good on me after all these years, and more importantly, I still feel comfortable wearing them. I got these things at various ukay-ukay shops before.

'Til my next Baguio trip! ^_^

Fashion Week of My Own

I've been strutting the runway I call Edsa and malls the last couple of days doing my field work and research for a project we got going at the office. I made sure that I was wearing comfortable clothes without sacrificing my own sense of style. So here are what I came up with...

Fashionable Summer Outfits 2009 Part II

I know, I know. The weather these days can be very unpredictable but still, I believe that our days in the sun are not yet over. No, no, no, no, no. So before the skies totally rain on our parade, I just wanna share the second installment of my summer attire collection based on what I wore when I went to Jakarta and Bali last March 20-26, 2009. If you want to see the rest of my blog posts pertaining to this trip, you may do so here. Otherwise, here are my simple, semi-bohemian, and cool summer outfits:

Fashionable Summer Outfits 2009 Part I

Believe it or not, this was the costume I donned in one of my recent job interviews. I was asked to wear something that best captures my essence. Since I am The Sexy Nomad and I love going to the beach and traveling to exotic places more than anything in the world, I figured, a nice "touristy" beach wear would be perfect.

Fashion Outfits for 2008

Here's a look back at the year that was through some of the many different outfits I wore. Would you be able to tell me what the common denominator is? I still can't figure it out. All I know is that every time I head out of the house, I wear what's comfy on my skin. I'm not one to follow the conventions but I'm not the type to go simple either. But I at least make sure they somehow match and look pleasing to the eyes.

So anyway, cheers to the many other outfits 2009 will bring me. Bring them on!
