MAGIC! LIVE AT THE NEWPORT PERFORMING ARTS THEATER

Next week, Canadian reggae-pop breakout band MAGIC! will be coming to Manila for the very first time! MAGIC! will be performing at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (of Resorts World Manila) on October 22, 2014 (Wednesday), singing their worldwide smash hit “Rude”, plus follow up singles “Don’t Kill The Magic”, “Let Your Hair Down” and more! Brought to you by Wilbros Live. Check out the TV advert here: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=892301664114632

MAGIC!’s music distills a gentle Caribbean flavor with arena-size bombast sound that is driven by its expansive approach to songwriting and a strong musical chemistry. Nasri (lead singer) and Mark Pelli (guitar) deliver elements of reggae with a pop and rock vibe; while Ben Spivak (bass) and Alex Tanas (drums) inject the rock attitude to create an intoxicating musical experience.

The band is not really new to the business.

KAOS Presscon Fashion

Above: To quote Jeman Bunyi Villanueva, co-blogger, before having this photo taken: "Fashion Week ba?" ^_^

I recently attended a press conference for the launch of KAOS at Newport Performing Arts Theater located inside Resorts World Manila. I didn't really know what to wear at press cons. I don't think I ever attended one because of my hectic schedule at work but for KAOS, which features both international and homegrown talents, and which I love so much even if I've just seen its preview, I went all the way.

My Resorts World Manila Getup

I've had a bad case of "I've got nothing to wear!" that evening Peter and I went to Resorts World Manila for the launch of Grand Fiesta Manila 2010 and Grand Fiesta Run 2010. I have numerous attires in mind but nothing fitted me well! Huhuhu. This calls for more exercise and less intake of carbs, which was why I didn't eat a lot even if there were a lot of delicious Chinese food being served at Passion Restaurant that evening. And like I always tell myself, when I feel fat, just wear black. I have this loose black butterfly blouse, which has been a part of my clothes collection before for the Sexy Nomad Apparel, which I've been saving for occasions like this. It's still a bit loose for my frame but at least, it made me feel not too fat. ^_^ I wore it with my old jeans, silver sandals & pearls and voila --- I may have looked simple but I think I also looked chic & fab. ^_^
