The day before typhoon Ondoy devastated our country, Sept. 25, 2009, I braved the rains in the metropolis and travelled from Alabang to Ortigas to attend N.E.W. (Network of Enterprising Women)'s Networking Party. I didn't have time to think of what to wear so I grabbed the first thing that came to mind--- dress on top of a tube and flat shoes. It's light and it's comfy. In case I get wet, the fabric dries up easily too.
I finally got to wear my yellow ballerina shoes! It was a toss between pairing my shoes with a yellow blouse or bag or letting my shoes become the main accessory or highlight of my getup. I chose the latter coz it made my whole outfit shine! I think that's the trick in mixing and matching apparel. If it makes you "glow" and you feel comfy and beautiful in it, then go! The world is your runway. Here it is...
You'd be glad to know that I bought two pairs of these wonderful ballerina shoes for only P500.00 during one of those sales last month. I got two wonderful colors: green and yellow. They are very comfortable and very sturdy. I used the green one on that rainy night when I walked from Benavidez St. in Makati all the way to SM Ayala under the pouring rain coz I was trying to catch Fashion Week's final show and all the cabs were being a huge pain in the a**.
