In Alabang Town Center, The Factory Outlets was having a sale when I chanced upon these gorgeous tankinis! They are buy-one-take-one for Php599. Feeling indulgent, I bought myself 4 pairs of tankinis. Yahoo! The tankinis I bought are perfect for my upcoming beach escapades. I may need more coz I'll be beach hopping all summer. :)

On weekends when my hubby and I were not out of town or beach bumming somewhere, I found myself going to the mall and shopping instead. I know, I know... I should really stop this habit soon. It's killing my finances. Teehee. But anyway, since it's already been done, I might as well enjoy the process, right? I usually wear flats these days, but since I bought those Janilyn shoes, I might as well use them. On March 7, 2010, Sunday, I went to Cubao Expo for the 2nd time to see what the fuss is about. It's been ages since I last bought ukay-ukay items (I used to buy in Baguio, Tagyatay and QC). For one, I thought I already stopped buying something that's already been used, and two, I just didn't feel the need to go. But since it's a lazy summer day and the tiangge in Eastwood suddenly disapperaed (Ninette and I were supposed to buy more fur shoes and beach wear), we opted to check out Cubao Expo instead.
This was the same day I bought all my 5 pairs of Janilyn shoes.

Since I am saving my new summer beach wear for our Caramoan and Butanding trip this coming April, I wore an old Bohemian type turquoise blouse, a white smock which I turned to skirt, and my white pair of Crocs footwear instead.
I miss seeing fishes and other underwater creatures while swimming. It's usually Peter who skin dive and go underwater while I either sunbathe or swim whenever we go to the beach.
I do bring my old snorkel and mask but I never really use them lately. Then one day, for some reason, I just suddenly have this huge inkling to go snorkeling! So out of the blue, we went shopping for some snorkeling gear and bought a SPEEDO set of blue life vest (my old one is already quite overused... been around since 2004), blue masks and snorkels for me and Peter, and black & orange FINIS fins.
Last Feb. 27, my hubby and I stayed overnight at a Php30 Million Peso house in Antipolo. I wanted to travel light, as always, and so I just prepared one motif for that weekend - PURPLE. Here are what I wore:
I turned 32 last Feb. 18, 2010. But deep inside I still feel like the same Jen I used to be when I was 21 years old --- young, carefree, hopeful, and grateful about life. Maybe I'm just a bit wiser now when it comes to stuff that really matters (like finding my bliss, giving more, paying for a house, car, insurance and other big ticket stuff). So when it comes to money, I don't care much about the brands of stuff I buy especially if it's just clothes and fashion accessories, but as long as I'm comfy & they make me look pretty, as long as the material can withstand the test of time, as long as it's within my budget and means, I go all out for it! So, on my birthday, aside from spending it with my family in Subic doing frightening and life-conquering stunts at TREETOP ADVENTURE, I also spent it with my hubby shopping!!! Here they are:

I went to Cebu and Cagayan de Oro last week, from October 6 - 12, 2009, for both business and pleasure. I traveled alone which means that Peter wasn't be there to carry my luggage for me. Because of this, I decided to travel light. If before I seemed to bring my whole closet with me, this time around I just brought outfits with a single motif... meaning, I only brought 1 pair of shoes (CROCS), 1 cap (the one I bought from Tagaytay Ukay-Ukay), 1 set of jewelry (my set of rice pearls from Boracay), 1 wristwatch (my Anne Klein) and 1 shoulder bag (Coach). ^_^
The day before typhoon Ondoy devastated our country, Sept. 25, 2009, I braved the rains in the metropolis and travelled from Alabang to Ortigas to attend N.E.W. (Network of Enterprising Women)'s Networking Party. I didn't have time to think of what to wear so I grabbed the first thing that came to mind--- dress on top of a tube and flat shoes. It's light and it's comfy. In case I get wet, the fabric dries up easily too.
This was my getup when I was running around the Metro taking care of one business after a another, including a blogging event. Thank God for my Crocs, I didn't mind walking several kilometers around Ortigas, from Meralco Ave. to Emerlad Ave. to Robinson's and back. Whew!
For a long time, my weight has yoyoed between 105-110 lbs. It would depend on whether I exercised that particular week or binged on my favorite food (pasta, rice, cake and ice cream). But ever since I started drinking Vita Plus vegetable drink, with no exercise at all (I don't have time now) just after a week, I trimmed down to 100lbs! Just this afternoon, I weighed myself again and I'm now 99lbs!
Below are just some of the looks I donned when I went to VTRs and go sees. It actually depended on the role that I was asked to play. There was a time I wore tattered clothes to look poor; at another time I wore clothes that make me look fat for mommy roles; there was also a time I wore casual and formal clothes. The important thing to remember when going to VTRs is to wear less make up and to take off all accessories. What the caster want to see is the whole body and the face, specifically facial expressions. These are all good news for me since I just commute when I run around town going from one VTR to another. So the more comfy I feel, the better. ^_^
Yeah, I almost missed it actually. I was still sleeping when they aired it last July 1. Good thing I woke up just in time to see the fashion segment being aired. I immediately grabbed my camcorder and tried to record it. Unfortunately, I was running out of batteries and the TV was making some static. But I'm still glad I got it on video. I'm still waiting for QTV though to send me a clean video copy of it. ^_^

For those who don't know, I’ve been on TV as a talent before on numerous occasions but this one’s different. There was no script and there was no character to play. It’s all ME!!! I’m pretty nervous and excited at the same time. I’m not gonna tell you to watch me but if you wanna see me babbling the rest of the interview away, well, I can’t stop you either. You may judge me but please try not to be harsh. I’m a complete virgin at this. Teehee.
You'd be glad to know that I bought two pairs of these wonderful ballerina shoes for only P500.00 during one of those sales last month. I got two wonderful colors: green and yellow. They are very comfortable and very sturdy. I used the green one on that rainy night when I walked from Benavidez St. in Makati all the way to SM Ayala under the pouring rain coz I was trying to catch Fashion Week's final show and all the cabs were being a huge pain in the a**.
I was watching ETC's Daily Ten yesterday evening when I found out that FRINGED shoes are back once again. They are great with almost anything --- skirts, jeans, leggings... you name it, they're perfect! I have yet to find my perfect gladiator fringed sandals but I already own two pairs of fringed suede boots. It's just a matter of time and budget before I get hold of my next pair. ^_^
