Ocean’s Surf Seafood Buffet at Marriott Cafe

Last Friday, Peter and I went to Marriott Cafe to have a taste of the delectable dishes being offered at their Ocean's Surf Menu. Though I am trying my best to really cut down on food, it's just so hard to resist the very sumptuous dishes at Marriott Cafe's Ocean's Surf! I promise, after this, I will really, really, really take my diet seriously and add more minutes to my workout routine at home.

Anyway, I just want to document my look that night. I was wearing a red A-line dress and a black semi cover up from YRYS and my shoes from Janilyn. With my mom's genes kicking in, it's really a challenge to trim down, especially now that I am almost 33. Hopefully, next month, when I do turn double three, I get to look slimmer than this. Good luck to me! ^_^

A-Line Dresses and Caps

I remember my hubby telling me that he is prepared to see the day when I'll grow big like my mom. It's in my genes, he said, so there's really no way of avoiding it unless I get serious with slimming down.
This was taken when it snowed at Enchanted Kingdom

Anyway, this is probably why I like wearing A-line dresses. I may not be very chubby like my mom (yet) but at least the cut of this kind of apparel can hide telltale signs of bulges in my middle. Plus, they're very comfy too. So what I do is just style them up with accessories and other apparel like a pair of shorts or leggings, flat shoes and my favorite caps.

Last Time I Went Out in the City

The last time I went out in the city was when I went to Halfmoon Asian Cafe for their Bibingcrepe launch. It was held on November 23, three days before I went on a 2-week vacation touring the islands of Negros Oriental and Cebu. I was feeling a bit Christmassy that night so I thought of wearing my beautiful red blouse with ruffles in front. It's one of those items in my Sexy Nomad Apparel Collection before and I really liked its style. Because the blouse was a bit huge for me, I figured, why not style it up with a vintage silver chunky belt, pair it up with my black and white psychedelic skirt and silver Janilyn pumps, wear my red beret and voila --- I think the whole getup looked chic and cute!

I was also happy to see my blogger friend, Jennie, wearing one of the Anne Curtis dresses she bought from me. And of course, how can I not include my blogger buddy Jeman? He was our stud that night. Teehee.

The Parvati Fashion

When my husband and I went to Parvati last Sunday to taste the various home-baked desserts they offer, I couldn't help but notice how stylish some of the guests were. I'd like to share here some of the photos we took in between bites of their delectable goodies.

I wanted to look prim and proper so I donned my Anne Taylor purple dress with a cream crocheted cardigan top, tied up my hair in a bun and wore my purple crocs. The rest of the ladies (with Roch on the right, the one who had me invited to come taste the wonderful goodies of Parvati) were wearing gorgeous heels to match their fab clothes.

Covered All Over...Or Not

As usual, whenever I go out to watch a gig or party with friends, the hardest part is figuring out what to wear. I'm not really the type to go with what's in or hot. I go with how I feel. If I feel good about wearing a particular attire, no matter what it may look like to others, then I just wear it.

I was supposed to don a sundress at the Brownman Revival gig... the type that makes me feel like I'm just at the beach. I was thinking about it for days but as soon as I wore it, it didn't feel right. Blame it to my baby fats. So I figured, I should wear something that will cover the bad parts. Until I get to lose some more weight, then that's the time I'm gonna wear my sundress. That evening, here's what I came up with. And thank God it was a bit rainy that night, my getup became quite appropriate for the weather. ^_^

I wore an A-line dress with low-cut neckline from 248; my ever reliable 10 year old Mango boots; my long-sleeved and tight fitting cardigan I got from;ukay-ukay; my feather headband from YRYS; and my gold necklace and pearl earrings I bought from a Muslim 5 years ago.

I think it looked alright. Peter liked it too. What do you think? ^_^
