I'm once again selling my skills and services to prospective employers. Considering our current financial situation, I deem it wise to hold on to my cash rather than buy fabulous outfits for my major job interviews. So lately, I have been using my all-time favorite slacks (I've already sold my other pairs in one of my garage sales) I bought from Memo and matching it with my not-so-used blouses/tops.
With the correct jewelry, shoes and other accessories, I think I look respectful and presentable enough. Still, I can't wait to get my "first salary" again. By then I can buy more power dresses or perhaps I'd stick with my money saving regimen and save thousands of bucks. Or maybe I'd be lucky and get hired by a company that enforces the wearing of uniforms. We'll see. For now, let's take a look at what I've come up with...
Considering that these are old clothes, I'd say they're not that bad. Three employers already emailed me saying that I passed their initial interviews and exams. So I guess, my "power attires" did their purpose. Now, I wonder what I'll wear next when they ask me for a second interview. Hmmmm....
