All the stars (and their kids) are wearing Skechers shoes

A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes. From boots to sandals, slip-ons to running shoes, it’s important to have a pair or two to choose from for just about any occasion.

OK, so you may run out of space at some point, but you can always do a Lydia Rose Bright – of TOWIE, ahem, fame – and flog older, unwanted pairs on eBay. Or, if you can’t bear to part with them (a collection is a collection, after all) there are several funky shoe holders and storage solutions for your beloved pairs available from most online stores.

But enough about old pairs; this season it’s all about Skechers shoes, the brand that produces the biggest selection of on-the-go shoes – from casual wear to athletic types – on the market. The Skechers brand was highly popular in the 90s, with the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera wearing them, and gained more popularity amongst kids when the likes of Spears’ son, Jayden, and Jennifer Lopez’s daughter, Emme were spotted out and about in them.

And now, they’ve made a comeback among adults too, with Kim Kardashian appearing in a racy Skechers TV commercial in 2011 - although this year she seems to have been replaced by a dog!

Dog or no dog, Skechers are so versatile that they can be worn with just about anything. The pumps look great with jeans and a blouse, Claudia Schiffer style, and the Shape-Ups can be worn with cropped leggings and a zip up hoody – perfect for a workout at the gym.

Speaking last year about her 2011 commercial work with Skechers, Kardashian said: “I am so excited to now be part of the club, especially representing SKECHERS – a brand I believe in. SKECHERS SRR’s make it real easy to burn more calories in comfort and style and Shape-ups have really helped me to be in shape in less time. My mother sent me a pair when I didn’t have time for the gym – so I started wearing the shoes around the set, and felt like I was getting a workout.”

Although Mr Quiggly, the canine star of Skechers’ latest campaign, wasn’t available for comment, we’re sure he also loves his Skechers just as much as Miss Kardashian.
