Charles and Keith Wedge Sandals and the Rest of My Birthday Loot

On my birthday weekend, I had a total of three attire changes. Hihihi. Aside from all the malling and walking around we did, we also spent time by the pool on Sunday morning and did other water-related activities so I had to wear something that's easy to take off, hence, this dress from one of my collections before.

The rest of our Sunday, I was dressed in a more stylish getup (puff sleeve blazer, faux fur Twinky boots, Givenchy handbag). As opposed to previous years when I'd buy a dozen pairs of shoes on my birthday, I am actually quite frugalicious this time around. Based on my experience, I never got to wear my lovely shoes (from Charles and Keith, People are People, Crocs, Manel's) as often as I had hoped so I told myself to stop hoarding once and for all and just buy what I need and really, really want.

Last month, I told you about this perfect pair of faux fur boots I got from Twinky and you'd be proud to know that I've already worn it at least 5 times! That's even more than the number of times I got to wear all those other two dozen shoes I bought before. Hehehe. A pat on my back is in order.

Anyway, I also got myself early birthday presents late last month when I bought 3 pieces of puff sleeve blazers and this gorgeous pair of Charles and Keith strappy ankle wedge sandals.

We saw a grand sale at Paseo de Sta. Rosa when we visited Nuvali and Enchanted Kingdom so we dropped by. I must've tried on ten pairs of shoes and wanted to buy everything on sight. But fortunately, only one of those fit my feet perfectly so at Php999 I immediately bought the thing. Happiness!

I wore it for the first time on my birthday last Saturday when my hubby and I spent an afternoon shopping and exploring this cute little mall called The Pergola in BF Homes Paranaque. We walked all afternoon on concrete pavement and tiled flooring. My feet didn't hurt one bit. This is what I love about Charles and Keith shoes. They may be too high for me, usually at 4 inches, but I feel like I'm wearing sneakers every time I put them on. :)

This is my second pair of Charles and Keith. My first Charles and Keith pair was a strappy 4-inch heels I bought on my 33rd birthday last year, as part of my 2011 dozen shoe birthday collection. LOL!

I didn't have any other exciting loot on my birthday except perhaps these bags I bought at a bag shop inside The Pergola.

The sky blue makeup and toiletry kit which I bought for only Php169.00 will be perfect for my 2-week summer vacation in Siargao next month;

 The laptop bag unfortunately is a bit small for my Asus... Good thing this only cost me Php70.00.

And the animal makeup kit... well, I just bought it coz it looks cute. Anyway, it was just Php19.00. ^_^

Oh, one last thing. When we went to Manila Ocean Park last weekend, I saw this cute pair of wobbly slippers for only Php200.00. I tried them on and though they felt a little wobbly, the overall experience was soft and comfy on my feet so I bought them! I plan to use this as my official slippers this summer. If last year, I had my Rider slippers for a month in Boracay, this year, it will be these cute, fat, wobbly slippers by Madeli. Hihihi.

So anyway, that's me and my frugalicious birthday loot this year. The money I saved will then go to other more important things like perhaps my diving lessons this April. Let's see... ^_^
